As part of our UNDP GEF SGP supported project "Building Community Capacity for Resilience during FRIENDS Institutional Recovery following Hurricane Dorian", FRIENDS partnered with Engineered Electric to host a pilot sustainable livelihood apprentice program. This program aimed to expose recent high school graduates to a career in renewable energy and provide stipends for their participation as part of Hurricane Dorian recovery. Three students were hired for the two month program at the beginning of this year. One student was even hired on for further opportunities!
